Dear Neighbors of Aurora,

Have you ever found yourself in a rush to buy a gift, only to end up ordering something online instead of visiting that charming little shop down the street? Or perhaps you experienced an amazing meal at a local restaurant but forgot to leave that glowing review to help others know about it? If you can relate, you’re not alone. In our fast-paced world, it’s all too easy to overlook the local gems that make our community thrive.

Every time we choose convenience over our vibrant local businesses, we miss out on the irreplaceable benefits they bring to our community and ourselves. Those family-owned shops aren’t just places to buy a product; they’re part of the fabric that holds our neighborhoods together. They create jobs, contribute to local charities, sponsor schools, and most importantly, foster a sense of belonging. It’s time we show up for them just as they show up for us!

Think about the last time you visited your favorite local café. That small business provides jobs for your friends and neighbors and often sources ingredients from other local suppliers. When you support them, you’re not just buying a cup of coffee; you’re investing in your community's well-being and prosperity. Did you know that for every dollar spent at a local business, an average of 68 cents stays within the community? This builds a thriving local economy that enhances our lives.

That’s why I’m excited to invite you to join the Support Local Aurora Businesses Challenge—a FREE 5-day community challenge focused on invigorating our beautiful city of Aurora! This initiative is designed to create a wave of positive change through simple, fun actions that we can all take to support our local businesses and cultivate pride in our community.

So, how does this challenge work? Each day, you will receive an actionable, easy task directly to your email or via text. In just a few minutes a day, you’ll discover how effortless it can be to make a difference. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect:

- **Day 1: Leave a Review** – Share your recent experience at a local cafe, shop, or service. Your encouraging words can guide others to discover the business.

- **Day 2: Make a Small Purchase** – Treat yourself to something special at a local store. It could be a delicious dessert or a handcrafted item. Every little purchase helps!

- **Day 3: Share a Local Favorite** – Use social media to showcase a local business you love. A simple post with a picture and a shout-out can bring in new customers and spread the word.

- **Day 4: Nominate a Local Hero** – Highlight someone in your community who supports local businesses and works hard to make Aurora a better place. Let’s honor the individuals who uplift our community!

- **Day 5: Participate in a Local Event** – Join an event that showcases local products or talents. This is an excellent way to meet other community members while supporting our city.

These challenges are intentionally designed to be quick and rewarding. You might think, "Just one review or one small purchase won’t make a difference," but think again! When we all take these small steps together, they create a substantial ripple effect, amplifying our collective impact. Not only will you feel the joy of giving back, but you'll also encourage and inspire others to share in the effort.

Imagine if 500 of us participated in this challenge—500 reviews, 500 shout-outs on social media, 500 purchases made at local businesses. The results would be staggering! Together, we can elevate the presence of our local economy and inspire our neighbors to join in.

At the end of the challenge, you’ll emerge not just as a supporter of local businesses, but as an ambassador for our community. You will also have the opportunity to join our Aurora Spotlight Newsletter, where you can keep discovering great stories and businesses long after the challenge concludes. You'll be plugged into the pulse of Aurora, learning about new offerings, special events, and incredible people who make our city so unique.

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact? It’s time to take action! Sign up today to join the Support Local Aurora Businesses Challenge. Let’s work together to enhance our community and create a lasting legacy of support for our local businesses.

Our local businesses need us now more than ever, and together, we can show them that they aren’t alone. Let’s turn our good intentions into action and strengthen the community we love so much.

Join me in this exciting adventure, and let’s celebrate Aurora’s spirit together!

With heartfelt enthusiasm,
